Istanbul : Facts Emerge for Fairmont Quasar Istanbul, Set to Open 2016

Fairmont announced this week that its first location in Istanbul, the Fairmont Quasar, will start in 2016 included in a combined growth complex in the Sisli District (near the Trump Towers). Two the 210-room hotel will be housed by 41-story towers along with leisure, industrial, and residential units, including four stories of work place and luxury retail at the root of the complex. Both the hotel and the households will be handled by Fairmont Hotel and Resorts, and the owners will be given VIP status and privileges at Fairmont homes all over the world being an additional perk of ownership. For discretion visitors, the hotel will have a Fairmont Gold membership level, many restaurants, 2,000 square meters of functionality space, and a Willow Stream Spa. The Fairmont Quasar is the newest project to be reported by the company in the Black Sea region, joining the recently opened Fairmont Kyiv in Ukraine, the Fairmont Baku in Azerbaijan (opening spring 2013) and the Fairmont Pekin in Moscow (opening 2016). We like the looks of the renderings as well as the selection of place in the Sisli District. The area is well-serviced by public transport, and it's home to Europe's biggest mall, the Cevahir, as well as plenty of restaurant and entertainment options. We'll watch out for the beginning rates once we get closer to opening day. [Photos: Fairmont Hotels and Resorts]
